The One-Page Screenplay: John Turman's BFF

fox-1pg.jpgIt’s time for another edition of The One-Page Screenplay, the feature in which Movieline approaches top Hollywood screenwriters and asks them to produce something that could conceivably be made for under $30 million. We’re thrilled to have John Turman with us this week. He’s the writer of such superhero blockbusters as Hulk and Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer; for us, though, he’s created something a little different. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The Official Bio:

Screenwriter John Turman turned a childhood love of comic books and science fiction into a career writing for TV and features. His HULK pitch to Universal ended up with his first big studio gig and a co-writing credit on the 2003 film. An acclaimed unproduced draft for SILVER SURFER wound up being used as the story for FANTASTIC FOUR II: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. He has written other projects, produced and unproduced, including PRIME, BUCK ROGERS, IRON FIST and others, and hopes to add this One-Page Screenplay to his files of criminally unproduced work.

Production has just wrapped on his screenplay for the live-action BEN 10:ALIEN SWARM, coming to Cartoon Network this fall.

Though he’s never worked with or met Megan Fox, he offers this One-Page Screenplay as a good faith jumping-off point.

Best on page to date. Now he get's to fuck his best friend for the rest of his life! Who doesn't want to do that!

I call foul!

No way those are Warner Brothers margins.

NO WAY!

(We liked the part about the Mandelbrotian spheres though - they ROCK!)

Wasn't this the premise of a beer commercial not long ago?

This is bogus. This is not formatted in the style WB uses.

Brilliant!

Can't wait to see this movie...not!

To say that's a little weird at the end, I believe they call it bro rape.

Just a suggestion.....
It would work much better as a musical.

Ok you got me - this is not real but it was a fun read. Probably would make millions just for the sex sceen...

John, was the cat okay . . . ?

Wow.
