It may have taken half a century, but the Mothership has finally responded to the distress beacon.
Ease on down the road.

If there's an LA funeral--or any funeral--this could go to "Candle In the Wind '97" proportions...

Tribute song for his memorial services? Sequins in Heaven.

Zing!
Posted 26 Jun 2009, 10:56 AM
I think it should be the song he wrote for Ryan White when he passed, "Gone Too Soon".

The original Movieline post about his death has brought out more crazies than a Lambert post. I feel like I need to go take a shower.

Shhh...the trolls will hear you.
Posted 25 Jun 2009, 5:16 PM

MICHAEL JACKSON WE MISS YOU AND LOVE AND YOU WILL ALWAY HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN OUR HEART. LOVE ALWAY, THE BURNET AND AND SHELTON FAMILY
Posted 25 Jun 2009, 5:49 PM
Why is no one talking about what might have caused his death? I find that odd.
Posted 25 Jun 2009, 6:00 PM
It was La Toya, in the kitchen, with the broomstick.
Posted 25 Jun 2009, 6:10 PM
Everyone figures oddness must have been the death of him.
Posted 25 Jun 2009, 6:40 PM
They're saying on the teevee that we won't know for sure until the autopsy. A former publicist also just made the comment that for the past few years Michael has looked like he's "decomposing". 24 hour news cycle carry on...

is it just me or does somebody else notice a lot similarities to the borg? the bad queen looks like a draft for the borg queen in ST8 and there are even stasis modules for the "drones". thank you jacko for reminding me that TNG is just a pure ripoff ^^
Posted 01 Jul 2009, 6:26 PM
Yes! That was my first thought exactly! I wouldn't say rip off as every idea comes from a tickle...

Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas?
I could see the Star Wars and Star Trek influences in this movie.
Michael Jackson forever.
Posted 26 Jun 2009, 8:55 AM
No, you see Captain Eo influences in Star Trek.
Posted 26 Jun 2009, 8:00 AM
Captain EO scared the crap out of me when I was little.
Posted 26 Jun 2009, 9:18 AM
Was Cpt. Eo set in the Star Wars Universe, proper?
Posted 26 Jun 2009, 9:32 AM
I'm surprised that no one's mentioned Captain Eeyore, the Disney Cast Member parody.

Family attorney and family 'friend' has already announced that he suspects prescription drug abuse was a factor if not a cause. He claims michael's habit was bigger than Anna Nicole Smith's.
Posted 26 Jun 2009, 9:45 AM
my friend was at gay days at disneyland the year that captain eo premiered. as michael appeared on the screen, my friend tells me a drag queen stood up and screamed, 'oh my god, it's diana ross!' that's the memory that i have of captain eo.
rest in peace, mj

RIP Michael, You are the friend in my heart.I will remember the time when I saw you on the premiere of "The Wiz" in New York.. I was sitting on the sidewalk behind police barracades facing the theatre entrance. The fans went nuts/crazy. I remember the fro you sport and you looked so Bad. I stared at you til you went into the Astor Theatre. I didn't go crazy but I do recall thinking "wow" I share this story for the first time. I'm so proud that I shared the generation period of your music and I partied and I always got something started.Your music lives on and if theres any doubt check out the billboards this week Your are truly King of Pop bar none....PS: The only big nose in your family was your dad not you my friend "you are beautiful" with the heart of gold. Farewell

It would be better without all the distracting 80's style sound effects. But I suppose that was the style then.

"But I suppose that was the style then."
Yes, in the 80s, 80's style sound effects were the style....

The price is not cheap, but it's a great value since the darn things don't wear out. The look is sort of ... clunky, yet I see a lot of copies (of lesser quality) in all the mall ugg stores this year. I'm buying a couple more pair for my teenagers this year, and even a pair for myself.

Michael Jackson is completely amazing, I cannot stop listening to his great albums . Can't believe he has passed away . He's just awesome. R.I.P MJ, mankind will not forget you
