Zombie John Lennon and Yoko Ono Terrorize Toronto!

If you thought Yoko Ono couldn’t get any scarier, well, I’m sorry: Zombie Yoko haunted the streets of Toronto with the brains-craving, bed-inning John Lennon himself as part of today’s Toronto Zombie Walk. The annual event added a special fest component this year to correspond with the premiere of George A. Romero’s latest undead opus Survival of the Dead, which debuted last night as part of TIFF’s Midnight Madness section. And they were just the horrible beginning.

Your intrepid Movieline correspondent found the pair shuffling along with more than 1,000 zombies roaming Yonge Street this afternoon, terrifying the festivalgoing masses with their hunt for human prey. Except for Yoko, that is, whose reedy, unmistakable whine — “Roooooooccccckkkkkk Baaaaaannnnnnd prrrooooffffiiiitssss” — eclipsed the others’ moaning chorus for brains.

Four words:

Aim for the brain.

The Zombies in Louisville on 08/29 were having a lot more fun. Seriously, 08/29 next year Bardstown Rd and Eastern Pkwy. Louisville, Ky. You may never go home again.
P.S. Still pissed at Yoko.

This wasn't the official walk. This was only for TIFF and George A. Romero's appearance. The official walk is set for October 24th, 2009.

Got it, Neil. Thanks for the heads-up!

All we are saying
Is give brains a chance
