It's the Not-So-Great Decision to Market You as a Rapper, Charlie Brown

charliebrownrap.jpgABC’s terribly egregious new ad for It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown has the misfortune of arriving in front of a hostile marketplace already outraged by the exhumation of Chris Farley for a DirectTV ad, a marketing gaffe that robbed the late comedian of his most notable trait: dignity. Is ABC’s Pumpkin commercial (as pointed out by EW) any worse than that? It is, because Charlie Brown raps.

Hey party people
It’s Charlie B
Bringing Halloween Tuesday
To ABC!

And it continues, in the video below. “Good grief” suddenly seems like too insufficient of a phrase.

Peanut posse?

Now lowlife felon 'music' has pervaded everything.

There is no god.

"The Great Pumpkin" featured a commercial break were in Mr. B asked me to meet some of his "homies"!! (BTW, I could smell malt liquor on his breath. . .)

That isn't his hair either, it's a "G" tat.

G for gangsta of course.
