SOURCE: Rob Marshall's Nine Definitely Delayed

If Penelope Cruz’s legs were positioned like clock hands to count down the release of Rob Marshall’s musical Nine, they just got yanked into a more uncomfortable position by the Weinstein Company. A rumor making its way around the web today alleged that Nine was pushed back from its November berth; now, a source very close to the film can confirm that new release date to Movieline.

Previously, Nine was due for release November 29, which was long speculated to be an untenable situation as the Weinstein Co. has The Road opening that day. Now, the film has been pushed back to December 18 bows in New York and Los Angeles, followed by a wide expansion on December 25.

The news was originally broken by Brad Brevet at Rope Of Silicon, who also revealed that A Single Man has been set for release on December 11 in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco and will expand on Christmas Day.
