Joan Rivers Doc to IFC:
Less than a week after claiming an editing award at Sundance, the candid documentary Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work landed a theatrical buyer in IFC Films. Directors Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg followed the tireless comedienne for months, assembling a glimpse at the grueling regimens and routines that built one of this era’s great comedy careers. Celebrity roasts, Sacramento morning show appearances… you name it. A release date hasn’t yet been set, but trust you’ll hear more here once it is. [THR]

The editing award for Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work should be shared by her sixteen plastic surgeons, including the unlicensed doctors from Paraguay and Eastern Europe

Sadly, one gets addicted to looking young. Though I do so with good genes and well padded cheeks, I cannot imagine the need to look good with the need of a million dollars worth of plastic surgery. But then, I am not scrutinized by the media and the general public down to the smallest pore. I will keep my smile lines, wrinkles and the bags under the eyes. In my job it is who you are, not what you look like. Lucky me!
