Dennis Hopper Dead at 74
Hollywood icon Dennis Hopper has died at the age of 74 from complications due to prostate cancer. The Easy Rider star -- who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in late 2009 -- became too weak for chemotherapy treatments in March when the cancer metastasized to his bones. According to a friend, he was surrounded by family and friends when he passed away in his Venice Beach home on Saturday morning. [ABC News]

Man, what is it about Memorial Day Weekend and people passing away? I grew up watching Dennis Hopper's work in front of behind the camera over the years; he will be missed. I can just picture him having a beer with Jack Nance at the Slow Club in heaven. Mark my words, Harry Dean Stanton will outlive us all!
Although we knew it was coming it doesn't lessen the sadness and another loss of one of the greats. R.I.P. Dennis
