BREAKING: TMZ is reporting that Oscar-winner Gene Hackman was injured earlier today when a car hit him as he was bicycling in Key West, Florida. Details are very sketchy at this point, with the extent of Hackman's injuries unknown; the report claims said injuries are "serious" but also that the 81-year-old Hackman is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. Man, it *has* been a while since Hackman appeared in anything. Maybe he looked at Pacino and De Niro's recent work and said, "What's the use?"
Read the story again. He's *81*. If you are shooting films and not drooling into your lime jello™ at his age (much less BICYCLING AROUND KEY WEST) I'd say you're allowed to ask about the spacing of his shoot schedule. Cut Popeye some slack man.
